PRINCIPLES AND STYLE OF WORK
Our work is based on the enthusiasm of coaches and boys who love sports and futsal especially. So, futsal through fun and socializing. Great and strong enthusiasm for the sports game, which with its wide range of elements can be the basis for developing a large number of motor and psychological skills, without the imperative that something must be done, whether it is about game elements, matches, medals, first places or victories.
As victories give a motive and impulse for further work, so the student sometimes feels proud, defeats also have their own, one would say hidden but great quality- they develop adaptive personality mechanisms, a sense of down-to-earth and modesty, a feeling that you still need to work on yourself, the feeling of lending a hand to others even when you are lost.
Our primary goal is to develop boys’ love for this sport and to cherish a whole range of physical, psychological and sociological personality qualities, which are required in sport.
The focus of the work is developing technical, motor and coordination skills. We spend a lot of time working on the elements of technique, tactics, learning the rules and propositions of this sports game. In addition to futsal, we also recommend all other forms of physical activity, mostly ones that have an aerobic character – swimming, skiing, running, rollerblading, cycling, tennis…
Trainings for students age 6 to 8 are based on elementary level games, basic training of all types of movement and structures as well as getting to know the simplest technical elements. The level of education in this period is 100%.
In the process of learning the basic technique of futsal, the most sensitive part is the initial phase (first contact with the ball, the team, and what happens in the court…). Technique is a toll of expressing player’s mental and psychophysical abilities.
The basic starting point when working with beginners is a balance in accordance with personal motor skills, because they are distinguished and largely genetically determined.
One of the preconditions for overcoming possible fear of the first contact with the ball is that the initial steps take place at slow motion through fun and children’s games.
Consistent use of the methodical procedure according to the basic methodical principles: – from easier to harder, – from unknown to known, – from slower to faster.
Consistent use of pedagogical and didactic principles of training such as: – gradualism- obviousness, – thoroughness, – variety, – fun and leisure.
With a good demonstration and a rationally designed technique in the training process, futsal very quickly becomes enjoyment and pleasure. The demonstration method is better than the live word method, because „children learn with their eyes“. The combined method is the most productive.
„It all comes from the defense…“ these are the words of the legendary Dr. Mr. Aleksandar Nikolić. Only technically very well-trained players who possess a pronounced individual quality, can play an open game of futsal. In order to get there, it takes years of working on yourself day after day. Futsal players reach their maximum maturity only between the ages of 20 and 35, and even later. And in the above mentioned and further text, we talk about boys – beginners.
When taking up their first steps into the world of sport, it is quite expected that children who are 6 or 7 years old come to their first training practices with a certain amount of insecurity, timidity, fear…
Fear is not the enemy. Fear is an ally. We develop caution through fear. If fear is something you respect, something that gives signals, something which sharpens your perception, something that forces you to pull yourself together and to be realistic in your judgment, then it is desirable. For years, the Italians have played the game consciously in such manner that is based on a well-organized defense and consciously shifting the center of gravity of the game to their own half of the field. That tactic is traditional and very often gives results that even the best analysts could not have predicted.
It is exactly the same with boys, beginners.
First, we teach them about the significance and importance of defense tactics and thus we create a base for further work. At the same time, we work on the individual quality of each individual, which obviously depends on different real factors: genetics, motor, intellectual, emotional skills and other. If there are students with the talent of dribbling, 1:1 games, assists, breakthroughs in the attacking phase, it is natural to emphasize personal, individual characteristics and to direct and develop them properly.
Never discourage the players, which is unfortunately often done in modern futsal today.
The improvisation, imagination, technique, surrendering to a free spontaneous style, with as many instinct guided solutions as possible – these are the characteristics of high-quality futsal. The commercialization and stereotypes that are gradually entering futsal, will never be able to take precedence over talent, excellence of individuals, spirit, technique, dealing with the situation – in a word, distinctive individual quality of players.
As well as learning futsal skills, one of the primary goals of our school is the achievement of the physical education goals – socializing, appropriate behavior, teammates interaction, how do students treat the opponents, the referees judging the matches, and the present audience.
Training practices, happiness and satisfaction, and at last success not as an imperative – but success as a result of the relationship and dedication to futsal, are the qualities that will embelish our school in some future times.
Sportsmen that we consider as role models in the futsal school are freestyle players – Falcao, Manoel Tobias, Ricardinho, Edvin Grunholz, Adriano Fodja, Srba Stamenković, Zoran Karić, Predrag Radosavljević, Branko Šegota, Stanislav Karasi, Aca Kovačević, Radovan Filipović, Nebojša Vučićević , Nikola Vignjević, Semir Tuce, Alen Bajkuša … Free style implies a great freedom in the game – imagination, creativity, letting improvisation to the maximum, various solutions in one-on-one situations, with as many instinctive movements and solutions as possible, without restraints and limitations from the coach, and yet in a system and formations that are very important for the team to function properly.
In this context, being the best is much less important than giving your best.
